Summary
It was a chilly night at CHYAA as the Astros and Marlins met for the first time in the regular season.  Kevin
Bordner was calling the game from behind the plate and Jim Winterberg had the bases.

The Marlins jumped out to a 1-0 lead after the top of the first on an RBI single from Matt Muench.  The Astros
answered right back in the bottom of the first with 3 runs highlighted by Will Leite’s first Major League hit
which was a 2 run single to left center.  Congratulations Will!

The Marlins ended up scoring 1 run in each of the  3rd, 4th, and 5th innings.  The Astros plated 2 runs in the
3rd and 3 more in the 4th.  Griffen Colton had a multi-hit game and was named the player of the game for the
Marlins.  Andrew O’Hanian received the player of the game for the Astros thanks to his 2 for 2 hitting, 2 runs
scored, 1 RBI, and his pitching performance that yielded 1 run, 2 hits, 1 walk, and 3 Strikeouts in 2 innings of
work.  Congrats to both players.  Jack Brandt also scored twice for the Marlins and Brad Machinski scored 3
times for the Astros.

The game saw a lot of pick offs and rundowns as both teams were very aggressive on the basepaths.  In the
end it though, it was the Astros who walked away with the Win.

Summary
THE WEATHER PLAYED TRICKS ALL DAY AND HELD OUT LONG ENOUGH FOR THE SEASON DEBUTS

THE GAME, WHICH MEANT THAT THEY NEEDED TO TAKE AN AUTOMATIC OUT EVERY NINTH BATTER.
MATT HOWE AND JEFF DIXON BOTH PITCHED A GRITTY GAME FOR THE SOX AND JOE BENDIG HAD 3
HITS.  THEY PLAYED TOUGH,  BUT THE MARLINS WERE JUST TOO MUCH FOR THE SOX ON THIS NIGHT.
TUCKER COLTON PITCHED 3 SOLID INNINGS, HAD 4 HITS, ONE OF THEM A 3-RUN HOMER IN THE 1ST.
THE REST OF THE TEAM AMASSED 15 HITS LED BY :
JACK BRANDT        AND VINCE CAHILL EACH WITH 3 HITS AND ALEC FISHER AND BRIAN STOMEL EACH

Summary
On a beautiful night at the ballpark the Orioles and the Cardinals had an old fashioned pitchers duel. Eddie
Dunn and Nick Trivigino did battle for 4 innings of outstanding work. The Cards scored their runs  in the 2nd,
plating 2 with a lead-off single by Kyle
Kahriger who scored the first run of the game via an RBI single off the bat of lefty Michael Jones, Kyle
Bordner scored the other by way of a  fielders choice put in play by Pete Lanccetta. The O's finally broke into
the scoring column in the bottom of the 5th.  Key hits by Ryan Alvite who doubled in Ryan Krupa and Greg
Nazarian evened the score at 2-2. This was followed by the game winning single by Joseph Santaguida
scoring both Alvite and Ben Varone. Greg Nazarian collected the save.

OUTSTANDING PLAY
Ryan Krupa did his usual workmanlike effort at shortstop making all the plays. Terrific catch in left field by the
Cardinals Eric Barnett
